Heineken's The Entrance video goes viral

Please click the photo below, enter your birthday and watch the funny video on YouTube by Heineken.

Is it so funny? This is a new Heineken's video ad! (Taiwan special version) Heineken has been making waves in the ad world. This time, Heineken have a private page on YouTube and they made this funny "flash" video on YouTube. This ad has quickly racked up 3 million views (including the original one) due to a clever campaign with additional content on Facebook and YouTube.

“The video focuses on the man’s interactions with all the guests, which are all pretty epic. We see him give an eye back to a rather salty looking sailor, get in a mock duel with a gunslinger, and even shoot some hoops. My favorite had to be the mock karate battle, which had some pretty slick moves to get possession of the Heineken bottle. In the end, our star joins the band on stage, adding in some jazz (yaz) flute, and getting the party really started.” January 14, 2011 | Author Social Trooper

Email Viral Marketing

For the past little while we have been engaged in email viral marketing. What is email viral marketing? Some kind of nasty computer virus? In fact, it's actually a very cost effective and legitimate way of getting the word out. It works pretty simply actually.

Step 1: You send out an email to your email list inviting them to participate in a contest.

Step 2: Your contest encourages recipients to send emails to friends, family and colleagues to sign-up for the contest. The more people that they email and who sign-up, the more entries they receive into the contest.

So if I email dozens of friends and then 16 register for the contest, I would receive 16 entries into the contest. The more people I refer and who register, the more entries I receive.

Step 3: Step back and watch the contest grow. Just like a virus, your friends are incited to email others and so on and so forth. Now all of sudden you have just created something viral.

Facebook is one of the best tools of internet marketing and viral marketing. Black and White milk used the Facebook to promote the 70th Anniversary activity.

In order to collect all premiums from the game, people should “like” the Facebook fan page first, and then they need to upload the photo that they got from the restaurant after dinning. Hence, everybody will share the news of this game and also the photo to redeem the premium.

On the other hand, this program used Facebook and forum to convert the news of the activity, so that the message is passed to a more comprehensive.

Subservient Chicken - Burger King

Viral marketing campaigns are an amazing way to generate a huge amount of buzz and brand awareness whether they are carried out online or offline.

Subservient Chicken (Burger King)
This website launched in 2004 and racking up an amazing 46 million views in the first week Subservient Chicken is deserving of a place on any viral marketing list.

Visitors are eating it up — and, Burger King hopes, consuming large quantities of its TenderCrisp chicken sandwich as well. The site is part of an integrated campaign for the new product.
“It was important to us to get to the elusive adults in their early twenties and thirties, the 18- to 34-year-old men, the so-called missing men who aren’t watching TV,” said Blake Lewis, a spokesperson for Burger King, which is controlled by Texas Pacific Group. “This audience embraces the Internet.” Lewis said the site got 46 million visits between its launch Wednesday, April 7 and the following Wednesday.
